Abstract

The work was carried out with the funded support of the Russian Science Foundation under grant No. 19-72-20080. The author is grateful to prof. V.V. Khovailo for the samples for research and prof. A.M. Balagurov for the opportunity to study them on the ibr2 Fourier diffractometer at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna. The author expresses gratitude to the scientific advisor — doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor I.S. Golovin.

The structures and phase transformations of Heusler alloys of the Ni–Mn–Ga system were investigated. For the study, we used the alloys Ni2,16Mn0,84Ga, Ni2,19Mn0,81Ga, and Ni2,36Mn0,64Ga. Alloys of this system have a number of attractive properties that are associated with thermoelastic martensitic transformation and magnetic properties inherent in these alloys.
