Оппозиция твердый / мягкий в русской и китайской лингвокультурах

Abstract

The work examines the opposition hard/soft in Russian and Chinese linguistic cultures. For comparative linguocultural analysis, data from dictionaries of various types (etymological, explanatory, combinability) are used. The vectors of development of the meanings of opposites in two linguistic cultures are studied, and the similarities and differences of meanings, especially metaphorical ones, are revealed using the method of dictionary application. Denotative groups and models of meaning transfer are identified. Stable combinations with subject names are also considered. Particular attention is paid to the difference in connotations and the problems of translating stable combinations and searching for analogues are noted.
