Abstract

The article analyzes the media discourse of university media, reveals its characteristic features that appeared under the influence of changes in the status of universities and the transformation of university media into platforms for the implementation of state information policy. Structural and functional methods of analysis were used to study the subject. The results obtained allow us to state that a noticeable trend in the development of the analyzed media discourse is the strengthening of the image component of all types of texts, regardless of genre and format. This is due to the need to promote the ideas of the value of education and science, which are invested in each material at the level of implicit meanings. As a result, an information and image meta-genre of the text is being formed in the university media, 249 which allows solving both the professional tasks of journalism and the tasks of an ideological and image nature.
