Abstract

The article discusses the problems of linguistic and cultural adaptation of foreign students to Russian conditions. Two approaches to adaptation have been formed in the RCT: through the assimilation of cultural codes and through mastering the semiotics of the linguistic and cultural space. The latter involves mastering the genre and stylistic diversity of the city, onomasticon, etc. The article offers tasks related to the study of the linguistic and cultural space of the city.
