Aproximación a la competencia digital

Abstract

Sobre la revisión del término competencia digital este trabajo trata de contribuir al proceso de europeizar el sistema educativo, impulsado gracias a treinta y un gobiernos, de acuerdo con la Declaración de Bolonia. La reforma estructural del espacio de educación superior afecta directamente a la formación de profesorado, a los grados de magisterio y educación, y a la educación permanente. Inicialmente, se fundamentan los antecedentes del término competencia advirtiendo planteamientos distintos que, en última instancia, llevan a divergencias conceptuales que tratan de unificarse con estudio actuales sobre las competencias en contextos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. La revisión tiende hacia este planteamiento integrador al abordar, en un segundo momento, el significado de competencia. Para ello se advierten diferencias y semejanzas de la competencia con el empleo de términos como capacidad y dominio. En un tercer momento, el trabajo se detiene en la competencia digital manteniendo un vínculo notable con el uso e impacto de las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la educación. Los antecedentes se remontan al uso del ordenador y, tras él, los avances en la informática y las telecomunicaciones llegando a un estado de convergencia que permite hablar, y trabajar, en ambientes digitales de aprendizaje. Las posibilidades que ellos ofrecen merece retomar la formación docente y reconocer el rol actual del profesorado.

Sobre la revisió del terme competència digital aquest treball contribueix al procés d'europeïtzar el sistema educatiu, impulsat gràcies a 31 governs, d'acord amb la Declaració de Bolonya. La reforma estructural de l'espai d'educació superior afecta directament a la formació de professorat, als graus de magisteri i educació, ia l'educació permanent. Inicialment, es fonamenten els antecedents del terme competència advertint plantejaments diferents que, en última instància, porten a divergències conceptuals que tracten d'unificar amb estudis actuals sobre les competències en contextos d'ensenyament-aprenentatge. En un tercer moment, el treball es deté en la competència digital mantenint un vincle notable amb l'ús i impacte de les noves tecnologies aplicades a l'educació. Les possibilitats que elles ofereixen reconeix la importància de la formació docent i el rol actual del professorat.

The review of the term `digital competence´ contributes to the process of Europeanization of the education system, driven by thirty-one governments, according to the Bologna Declaration. Structural reform of the higher education space directly affects teacher training, teacher training degrees, pedagogy, and lifelong learning. Initially, the term offers its background. It notices different approaches that lead to deviations. After all, the study unifies the conceptual dealing with current studies on competence in teaching and learning contexts. Finally, this paper offers the meaning of digital competence today, keeping a significant link with the use and impact of new technologies applied to education. Advanced technologies’s possibilities recognize the importance of teacher training and the current role of teachers as well.
