Abstract
A autora apresenta uma série de dados referentes a morfologia, cultura, processamemto, composicao química e usos da espirulina (Spirutina maxima, Spirulina platensis), microalga verde-azulada cujo consumo está muito em evidência em diversos países da Eutopa, Ásia e América do Norte e que começa também a ser miuto utilizada por brasileiros. The author presents a series of figures referents to morphology, culture, process of manufacture, chemical composition and uses of spiruline, a blue-green microalgae which consumption is in evidence in some countries of Europe, Asia and North America and begins to be widely utilized by Brazilians.
