Abstract
This chapter discusses change that affects people and the organization, rather than engineering change. Change is an inevitability of successful business life and so requires proactive management, but many major incidents have resulted from this being poorly managed. Change that significantly impacts individuals, teams, or the organization requires consideration of peoples’ capabilities and limitations, and the right structure to deliver the business plan successfully and safely.
