Abstract
In literature there exists an own, with space and time connected world. In the 19th century both, space and time, gain importance as consciously used elements. Two basic tendencies are formed - the semantization linked to the narrative in classicism and romanticism and the narrative fixed by precise location in space and time in realism. The semantization of space and time constitutes an enhancement of meaning bestowing a special intentional poetry upon both aspects of the narrative, whilst the realistic depiction creates the illusion of a factual narration.
