This PhD Thesis is part of a line of research of the materials research group GEMA of the University of Extremadura that focuses on the design, manufacturing and mechanical optimization of new biomaterials for orthopaedic applications. Specifically, it involves the optimization of porous structures fabricated by robocasting. These structures consist of a three-dimensional network of ceramic rods obtained layerwise by extrusion through a nozzle of highly concentrated colloidal suspensions (inks).
