Abstract
The thesis finds that data-driven journalism in a theoretical perspective entangles with Precision Journalism and Computer-Assisted Reporting (CAR) as the methods interweave within the sphere of investigative journalism. In common they all emphasize the importance of collecting, analyzing, prun-ing, and presenting data. Data-driven journalism however tends towards a stronger focus on the presentation. Whereas pruning, collecting and analyzing data is more present in the theory of CAR and Precision Journalism.
