Abstract
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer death among women, accounting for 23% of all cancer cases and 14% of cancer deaths in 2011 (1). Thanks to the advancement of treatment, the 5-y survival rate of patients with breast cancer has already risen to approximately 77.5%–90.3% (2); however, the issue of tertiary prevention is still challenging. For example, about 1 in 5 breast cancer survivors who are disease-free for 5 y after adjuvant and neoadjuvant systemic therapy suffer a recurrence within 10 y after the end of treatment (3).
