Metabolomics relates to the identification and quantification of metabolites in biological samples. This discipline is part of an approach known under the term of "systems biology". High Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy at Magic Angle Spinning (HRMAS NMR) is a method for obtaining metabolic profiling in such sample. Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE ) is a common focal epilepsy often associated with selective neuronal loss, reactive gliosis and specific cellular plasticity.
