Abstract
Aunque ninguna persona informada ignora que la minería y la extracción de hidrocarburos son esenciales para la supervivencia de nuestra sociedad, el rechazo a estas se ha convertido en una moda, como muestra de sensibilidad ambiental. Por otro lado, graves errores cometidos por algunas empresas mineras y petroleras han dado argumentos a los detractores de esta actividad económica.
