DJEČJA IGRA NEKAD I SAD

Abstract

Children's play is an inevitable part of childhood. It plays an indispensable role in shaping a child's identity, intellectual and emotional development, and social interactions. It is diverse and has numerous classifications. By studying history, its presence is evidenced across all civilizations, with the evident transmission of traditional games across generations. Participation in traditional games contributes to understanding cultural and national identity. Toys are a part of a child's life from the earliest months until adulthood. Virtual games represent the most modern form of play as a consequence of internet and technological advancements. The selection of toys and exposure to virtual games can have both positive and negative impacts on a child's development, thus placing significant responsibility on parents for guidance. The main objective of this work is to deepen the understanding of children's play through the analysis of its various aspects, from traditional forms of play to the contemporary challenges posed by modern games.
