Abstract

Приводится интервью с Борисом Степановичем Жигаловым, историком, доцентом кафедры новой, новейшей истории и международных отношений Томского государственного университета, работающим в уни-верситете более 60 лет. В преддверии своего 90-летнего юбилея он ответил на вопросы коллег по кафедре об ис-тории и профессии историка, об особенностях научной школы, о жизни на факультете в разные исторические периоды. Размышления Б.С. Жигалова являются важным свидетельством развития кафедры новой, новейшей истории и международных отношений и факультета исторических и политических наук во второй половине XX – начале XXI в.
