Abstract

Application of sparse matrix phased arrays is able to increase the speed of obtaining three-dimensional images of the internal structure of objects when using Total Focusing Method. The applied sparse transducer configuration determines the quality of the restored results. In this paper, the application of stochastic optimization methods is considered to find configurations of sparse matrix phased arrays that ensure the recovery of high quality results.
