Abstract
In the process of storage, transportation and distribution of fruits, vegetables and flowers large amounts of gases such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and one in particular that is the ethylene produced, a plant hormone that is associated with ripening fruits climacteric and senescence of plants, why the elimination and control of this is needed to extend the life of fruit and horticultural products as avoid senescence.
