The article deals with the formation of a competitive specialist in the conditions of sustainable development of society, where the development of critical thinking plays an important role. Innovative changes require complementing the traditional requirements that define the standards of education - professionalism, competence and intelligence, communication, personal dimensions of a university graduate. The author reveals the concept of "critical thinking", emphasizing that this is the ability to think, analyze, argue, compare, which contribute to making the right decisions in the end, and as a result - the ability to solve complex problems, to distinguish the most important thing from the flow of information, communication, emotional intelligence - all this contribute to improving the quality of education and the formation of a competitive specialist in conditions of sustainable development of society.

В статье рассматривается вопрос о формировании конкурентного специалиста в условиях устойчивого развития общества, где важную роль играет развитие критического мышления. Инновационные изменения требует дополнить традиционные требования, которые определяют стандарты образования - профессионализм, компетентность и интеллектуальность, коммуникационными, личностными измерениями выпускника вуза. Автор раскрывает понятие «критическое мышление», подчеркивая, что это умение думать, анализировать, аргументировать, сравнивать, которые способствуют принятию в итоге верных решений, и как следствие - умение решать сложные задачи, выделять из потока информации самого главного, коммуникация, эмоциональный интеллект - все это способствуют повышению качества образования и формированию конкурентного специалиста в условиях устойчивого развития общества.
