Abstract

The history of the discovery of diseases transmitted by ticks of the ixodid family is not as ancient as compared to viral diseases such as plague, smallpox or rabies. This means that diseases carried by ixodid ticks were not paid attention until recently (1937). The clinical manifestation of tick-borne encephalitis occurred mainly under other diagnoses, and the insignificant mortality and lethality did not allow doctors to pay attention to these diseases at that time, especially since the clinical signs of encephalitis are similar to a number of other diseases. 87 years have passed since the discovery of the causative agent of tick-borne encephalitis and the form of its spread. During this period of time, attitudes towards this disease have changed several times. No one denies that the virus of tick-borne encephalitis or Lyme borreliosis has its own specific danger for people and animals, but these are not diseases that can affect the psyche of people, forcing them to completely abandon communication with nature and the environment. Today's media, which have received complete freedom to influence people's consciousness, especially in those states where they do not consider it necessary to protect the population from unwanted information, are able to control society. In our opinion (in some matters) control over the flow of information in this direction would not be superfluous. Any person has the right to freedom of speech and a number of freedoms that do not violate the constitution and laws of a particular country. However, and research has proven this, not everyone knows how to use this or these freedoms.
