Abstract

O interesse deste artigo está em discutir sobre a ampliação do conceito de leitura para entendê-la como prática da linguagem, em suas possibilidades de derivação. O ato de ler, realizado a partir do signo da palavra foi deslocado a outro universo para ser interpretado no interior da linguagem visual. Essas reflexões se desenvolveram sob o aporte teórico de Mikhail Bakhtin, com o auxílio do pensamento de Paulo Freire sobre leitura de mundo, junto à via teórica dos Estudos culturais, do campo da Literatura; dos Estudos Culturais da Comunicação na América Latina, no campo da Comunicação e por conceitos advindos da linha dos Estudos da Cultura Visual, para suscitar revisões sobre processos de leitura de imagem destinados ao ensino formal da Arte.
