Abstract

In order to determine the level of glucose, which is a negative factor of the clinical course of severe concomitant injury, we examined 66 victims who were treated in the intensive care unit. With determination of an initial blood glucose levels and statistical analysis we proved that the blood glucose level greater than 8.3 mmol/L is a predictor of the development of lethal complications in patients with severe concomitant injury during hospitalization.
