Abstract

The article is concerned with stages of developing motivation for correct speech acquisition in senior preschoolers with general speech underdevelopment. It describes corrective and pedagogical work at every stage. It is shown that children with general speech underdevelopment have low motivation for correct speaking; they do not wish to cooperate with a teacher and people around and have low cognitive interest. A set of games, psychological and pedagogical support and cooperation between teachers and parents are a key to increase motivation for correct speech of senior preschool children with general speech underdevelopment.
