Abstract

The article studies a concept of “youth" and youth age scope. It discusses the conditions when a young person becomes an adult one. The author recounts that Russian and Soviet social science considered the youth to be a cohort on the most active socialization stage, while the majority of occidental models considered the young generation to be a permanent bearer of the deviant or consumption behaviour.
