The article deals with such important component of national identity as historical identity. The authors note that the historical memory of people accumulates ideas about the heroic events of Russian history, prominent figures and bright achievements of the country. These representations play the role of value marks, contribute to the strengthening of civic consciousness and patriotism. However, it is necessary to recognize and accept errors and delusions, loss and defeat. The authors think that the formation and strengthening of the civic identity of the people are based on the attitude towards the history.

В статье рассматривается такая важная составляющая национальной идентичности как историческое самосознание. Авторы отмечают, что в исторической памяти людей накапливаются представления о героических событиях отечественной истории, о выдающихся деятелях и ярких достижениях страны. Эти представления играют роль ценностных ориентиров, способствуют укреплению гражданского самосознания и патриотизма. Вместе с тем, необходимо признать и принять ошибки и заблуждения, потери и поражения. Авторы считают, что именно на отношении к своей истории основывается становление и укрепление гражданской идентичности народа.
