
The paper identifies the communicative-pragmatic factors motivating the specificity of explanation as a kind of reasoning. Analyzed the expressive means used in the popular science texts (mass-media) to be understood by the reader. Expressive means used in the explanation to be understood (metaphor paraphrasing, the appeal to personal experience).
В статье определяются коммуникативно-прагматические факторы, мотивирующие специфичность объяснения как разновидности рассуждения. Анализируются выразительные средства, используемые пишущим в научно-популярных текстах из сферы СМИ с целью быть понятым адресатом-читателем.
