Abstract

The article deals with the «Northern discourse» (the term by E. Sh. Galimova) in the Russian rock-poetry of the last 10-15 years. Though the music styles the authors belong to, their aesthetic preferencea and world views can differ, the comprehension of North (Northern Russia: Scandinavia or the allegoric or fantastic North) always turns to be strikingly similar: it is perceived as an ideal dimension of the world, probably connected with divinity.
