Abstract

Стволовые клетки представляют собой уникальный инструмент для изучения патогенеза заболеваний человека, тестирования новых лекарств, а также могут быть использованы в области заместительной клеточной терапии. Особое место среди известных на сегодня типов стволовых клеток человека занимают эмбриональные стволовые клетки. Дело в том, что они обладают плюрипотентностью, т.е. способностью порождать клетки всех тканей организма, что делает их неисчерпаемым источником для использования в клеточных технологиях. Поэтому неудивительно, что четвертое место в десятке самых важных научных результатов 2013 г. журнал «Science» отдал исследованиям по выделению стволовых клеток из человеческого эмбриона, клонированного с помощью техники, которая применялась для создания знаменитой овечки Долли
