The article considers the essence of the concept “social and cultural activity” in the context of the pedagogical system of social and cultural activities. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the theoretical comprehension of the essence of the concept of social and cultural activity associated with the release of her structure; the designation of the contradictions that characterize the studied concept as a scientific phenomenon, as well as establishing the “theoretical environment” with other concepts.

В статье рассматривается сущность понятия «социально-культурная активность» в контексте педагогической системы социально-культурной деятельности. Акцент сделан на анализе теоретического постижения сути понятия социально-культурной активности, связанного с выделением её структуры; обозначением противоречий, характеризующих исследуемое понятие как научный феномен, а также установлением его «теоретического окружения» с другими понятиями.
