Британский парламентский дискурс как культурный феномен

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to trace back different constituents of British Parliamentary discourse to their origin and consider them against the background of the theory of political discourse and culture. The article first explores parliamentary discourse in terms of performance communication and demonstrates that the roots of parliament rituals go back to the 14th-17th centuries. At present they contribute to the image of stable political system of the UK. The verbal aspect of Parliamentary discourse is part and parcel of British political culture. The article argues that British Parliamentary discourse is culturally determined and reflects the essential values of British political life.

Целью статьи является рассмотрение разных компонентов британского парламентского дискурса в ретроспективе и на фоне теорий политического дискурса и политической культуры. Статья рассматривает перформансные компоненты парламентского дискурса и показывает, что их корни обнаруживаются в XIV XVII веках. В настоящее время парламентские ритуалы являются составной частью имиджа стабильной политической системы, Соединенного Королевства. Вербальный аспект парламентского дискурса является неотъемлемым компонентом британской политической культуры. В статье утверждается, что британский парламентский дискурс культурно обусловлен и отражает основные ценности британской политической жизни.
