Abstract

The article is devoted to the acute problem of anthropological linguistics – modeling linguocultural personal concepts. An attempt to describe the combinatory of the concept name (anthroponyme Tolstoy) with connotative units in the evaluative aspect of the concept of Russian classic writer Leo Tolstoy in the Anglo-American linguoculture is undertaken. The interpretation of the marked out lexical units (epithets) from the point of the concept evaluation is given. The functional specificity of their use in the English language is determined. Possible reasons for the formation and actualization of the evaluative language units of the concept «Tolstoy» are considered.
