Abstract

To determine the status of physician in the system of mandatory medical insurance a complex approach is needed in studying different components of this status in the context of directions of changes in public health in general. The status of physician is determined by both official position of medical profession and by positioning of this profession within different social relationships of physician in the process of one’s professional activities. Hence, according opinion of medical workers themselves, the most important task of medical sociological monitoring is the detection and analysis of processes related to main components of physician status to further elaborate adequate managerial decisions.
