Образовательный потенциал культурной среды дворянских усадеб Смоленской губернии

Abstract

В статье рассматривается менее исследованный на сегодняшний день элемент культурной среды усадебные библиотеки, и отражение «судьбы» некоторых из них, находящихся на территории Смоленской губернии, их персонификация. Показано значение усадебных библиотек в воспитании и образовании дворян.

The article treats a little-investigated issue of manor libraries. It centers on the fate of some manor libraries that are situated in the Smolensk region. The article highlights the role manor libraries played in nobility and gentry education.
