Исследование возможностей применения чирпированного оптического сигнала при построении скоростных сетей связи городского масштаба

Abstract

Рассматриваются телекоммуникационные задачи, для решения которых может быть использован эффект чирпирования оптических импульсов. Предложено аналитическое выражение, описывающее генерируемый полупроводниковым лазером импульс с чирпированными фронтами. Показано, что с привлечением нелинейных оптических эффектов фазовой модуляции может быть реализовано функциональное преобразование вида "форма сигнала — функция чирпа". Приведены примеры некоторых таких схем. Предложена концепция построения пассивной оптической сети, предназначенной для обслуживания удаленных (100-150 км) абонентских сегментов. Показано также, что такая схема позволяет в значительной мере снизить расходы по наращиванию длин сегментов по сравнению с традиционной технологией в данной области.
