The author insists on the necessity of teaching fundamentals of elite speech culture to senior pupils. The key elements of ''high society, ''life of fashion and manners are the object. The author presents a system of tasks that form the didactic grounds of her elective course the way to high society, communicative basis of high society conversation; proposes criteria for estimation of students communicative abilities.

В статье аргументируется необходимость обучения старшеклассников основам элитарной речевой культуры, рассматриваются ключевые понятия светского общества. Автор характеризует систему заданий, дидактическую базу элективного курса «Выходим в свет: коммуникативные основы светского общения», приводит критерии для оценки сформированности коммуникативных умений школьников.
