Восприятие античности в прозе Т. Л. Пикока

Abstract

В статье рассматриваются основные аспекты влияния античного наследия на прозу Томаса Лава Пикока (эссе, критические статьи, литературные обзоры, романы). Особое внимание уделяется жанровой специфике прозы писателя, в которой обнаруживаются традиции диалогов Платона, древнеаттической комедии (Аристофан), менипповой сатуры (Петроний). The author explores some aspects of the influence of the antiquity on the Peacocks prose namely his essays and novels. Genre adoptions such as the Platos dialogue, the symposium, the old comedy, and the Menippean symposia are of a special interest.
