Abstract

The analysis of domestic and foreign references on manufacture of high modulus high molecular polyethylene fibres and ways of their updating is carried out. It is noticed that the most perspective methods of updating polyethylene fibres, threads and fabrics are plasmachemical technologies. Results of experimental data on influence of the lowered pressure HF-category on properties of high modulus high molecular polyethylene fibre are resulted. It is established that activation by plasma influences on nanocrystallic structure of fibres and pro-motes creation of unique composite materials
