Abstract

The paper discusses the characteristics of ethnic-self of Russian and Komi-Perm students, living in the city of Perm and Kudymkar. The theoretical basis is the construct of the Ethnic-self (Baleva, 2004), based on the methodology of polimodal-self (Dorfman, 1993, 2004). The sample consisted of 326 students. Four characteristics of ethnic-self were assessed. Significant inter-group and intra-group differences due to place of residence and ethnic group were found, as well as interaction of factors «ethnicity» and «place of residence».
