Abstract

The article deals with the problems of safe summer trackwork organization that are principal in ensuring trouble-free and continuous operation of railways. Different options for the delivery of locomotive crews to the place of work are analyzed. The economic efficiency of the proposed solutions is estimated. The causes of downtime formation are identified and the amount of their payment expenses is determined. Slipover effects enhancing the reliability of the repair and railway transportation system are determined.
