Abstract

As a result of our investigations it was established, that cattle had an authentically low concentration of a whole protein and its fractions, mucin, T-lymphocytes, alkaline phosphatase activity, myelopiroxidase, lysosomal-cationic proteins and on the contrary authentically high characteristics of an acid phosphatase, B-lymphocytes, bactericidal and lysozymic activity of blood serum with regard to clinically healthy pigs. An oxygendepending nonenzyme system (myelopiroxidase) and an oxygenindepending nonenzyme system (lysosomalcationic proteins) of pigs take more active part in phagocytosis process than those of cattle. A given circumstance indicated the different nature of blood serum defenses depending on animal species.
