Abstract

The article summarizes the practical experience of special languages' teaching, acquired by the Department of the German Language of Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of MSLU, and demonstrates the constituents of the effective course: the development of reviewing skills based on the methods of analytic and synthetic processing of information, complex analysis of secondary texts, the use of science of terminology methods. The particular role is given to the importance of intensive linguistic self-education and information-retrieval work in studying special terminology with the help of modern informational technologies.
