Abstract

The article reviews the activities of opposition political parties at the local level in the periods between elections to the representative bodies. It is shown that their activity is aimed to support primarily the protests of the population of Russian localities, among whom the struggle for the quality of the immediate environment occupies one of the leading places. It is proved that care for the environment today is one of the main factors, consolidating the society. The most acute social problem, also calling up protest actions, is the problem of communal services, but, unfortunately, nowadays it does not consolidate, but divides people in connection with diversity of their interests. The author determines the prospects of ecologization of consciousness of political parties’ members in connection with the fact that they support the struggle of the population for saving the environment.
