Abstract

The article presents data of functional disorders developing as a result of surgical stage of treatment of patients with cancer of oro-pharyngeal area. The analysis is implemented concerning application of speech rehabilitation in clinical practice depending on proportions of surgical intervention and severity of functional disorders. The application of speech rehabilitation is based on using undamaged stereotypes of speech production during early post-operation period. The techniques include activation and coordination of mimic and articulation musculature in aggregate with phonopedic exercises and speech material for correction of sound pronunciation. The process of cancer rehabilitation is to consider the personal characteristics oncological patients and to apply psycho-therapeutic and pharmaceutical support according indications. The particular attention is paid to evaluation of quality of speech that nowadays is implemented using subjective techniques of perception.
