
The paper dwells upon the phenomenon of political leader's media image. It also briefly covers the related phenomena of an image as an idea of a political leader in the minds of the audience and an image as a public image, specially constructed by image makers. The article sequentially discloses correlation between all three phenomena. On the basis of the study the author reveals a two-level forming mechanism of political leader's media image.
Статья посвящена такому феномену, как медиаобраз политического лидера. Рассматриваются взаимосвязанные с ним понятия «образ» и «имидж». Обозначается, что данные понятия в медийном дискурсе подразумевают под собой разные феномены, последовательно раскрывается взаимосвязь между ними. На основе проведенного исследования автором выявлен двухуровневый механизм формирования медиаобраза политического лидера.
