Abstract

The subject of the article are two foreign novels devoted readers of Dostoevsky's works. In both works, the image of the reader's behavior is underscored by its imitation: the hero of the novel G. Deledda «Delusion» identifies himself with Raskolnikov, the heroine of the novel G. Ayzenrayha «Adventure as Dostoevsky» with «positively beautiful man» Dostoevsky. In both cases, the identification with the literary character has negative consequences. However, the price of a reflexive effort heroes overcome the power of the literary image, revealing the fact that real life can not believe the literary circuit. The material considered in terms of its importance for understanding the nature of the youth reception.
