Abstract

Biologically inspired features together with the ranking method are proposed to be used for automatic facial age estimation. Geometric and brightness normalization methods are considered to secure the estimation sustainability. The average estimation error of 4.1 years was obtained on the standard FG-NET database that demonstrates the superiority of the proposed approach over the best known methods.
