Abstract

Drama of Hermann in Pushkin`s «Queen Of Spades» interpreted as universal. It is alleged that Pushkin comprehensively explores the problem of the man possessed by the spirit of heroic adventure (Napoleonic complex), and opens the path to the image of the character's individuality and personality in Russian literature. The author analyzes the behavior and portrait characteristics of heroes. Set parallel with the work of I.-V. Goethe ("The Sorrows of Young Werther", "Herman and Dorothea").
