Abstract

Hypoxia influence on lipid metabolism was studied in 103 patients with biliary dyspepsia and 21 healthy subjects with normal and increased level of cholesterol. Hypobaric adaptation was performed in multi-seater altitude chamber for 100 min. Combination of hypercholesterolemia and biliary dyspepsia occurs more frequently in patients with excessive weight or obesity, in women and office workers. Biliary dyspepsia exacerbation was not observed during the course of hypobaric adaptation, levels of CH HDL and CH LDL decreasing in patients with moderate and high hypercholesterolemia. Positive effect of hypoxia lasts for 6-12 months.
