Abstract

Formation of mathematic competences of engineering and economy students are considered. Educational work techniques used for this purpose and their main characteristics are described. Parameters of quality of mathematic activities on the basis of which the level of digesting educational materials and the profile of problems a student is faced with are provided. The activity-based formula of digesting mathematic knowledge is justified; the determinant role of understanding ensuring adequate realization of the nature of mathematic objects, phenomena, processes and methods a specialist really needs for his/her future profession is presented.
