Abstract

The article dwells on issues related to the use of TV news as a variety of media text used in teaching professional communication in a foreign language to students majoring in international relations and politics. The efficiency of TV news application in the teaching process is founded, stages of work with TV news are presented within the framework of a module approach. While the module «TV news» is described much emphasis is laid on the formation of linguistic and professional competences.

В статье рассматриваются вопросы, связанные с использованием теленовостей как разновидности медиатекста при обучении профессионально ориентированному иноязычному общению студентов-политологов и специалистов в области международных отношений. Обоснована целесообразность их применения, и в рамках модульного подхода представлена последовательность работы с теленовостями. Особое внимание при описании модуля «Теленовости» уделяется формированию лингвистической и профессиональной компетенциям.
