Abstract

The article provides a brief contents of the speeches at the Round Table. The Round Table was held on occasion of the 10th anniversary of the present Russian Federation''s regional and town planning Code. The results were evaluated and the main directions of its improvement were defined. The positive results of the Code were mentioned, but its disadvantages were emphasized even to a bigger extent. The common conclusion indicated the necessity of the Code''s profound remake. A resolution was prepared according to the results of Round Table and it will be available on the Institute''s website. The following persons were presented on the Round Table: Ms. E.S. Chuguevskaya, the director of the strategic and regional planning department of the Economic Development Ministry, Mr. A.V. Bokov, the President of the Union of Russian Architects, Mr. E. K. Trutnev, the author of the Code, full and corresponding academic members of RAACS, directors of the leading project institutions in the area of regional and town planning, professors of the Moscow Architectural Institute, leading specialists of the Ministry of Construction Industry and Central Scientific Research and Project institute (CNIIP).
